In my fifty years in golf and quarter century member of the PGA, I have performed every job possible in a golf operation. First as
an assistant Professional, Head Golf Professional, Golf Director and finally General Manager positions. I was in charge of golf
course construction and golf course development for Avco Community Developers including start up of new golf operations.
I have been lucky enough to be involved in three start up operations and reconstruction of two other golf courses.

Steve Bean

40 Year PGTCA Master Teaching Professional

Steve started his golf career at the Rancho Bernardo Inn & C. C. in San Diego in 1980. In the last 40 years since Steve has
taught on the teaching staffs of some of the worlds best golf instructors. In 1988 Steve was on staff at Derek Hardy's
California Academy of Golf. Derek at the time was and still is teacher to many LPGA stars. Derek is also a Golf Digest Top 50
Teacher in the USA. In 1994 Steve joined the Hank Haney Golf Instructional Staff of California. Mr. Haney worked as the swing
coach for Tiger Woods and many other tour players and is listed as a Golf Digest Top 5 Instructor. In 2010 Steve was named
Golf Instructor of the Year by the Professional Golf Teachers and Coaches Assn. In the last forty years Steve has helped
players of all skill levels to understand, improve and enjoy golf at a higher level.

victories. Jim has a unique skill set. He's balanced a career of both competing and teaching, a rare blend of technical swing
acumen and refined playing talent. That translates to a resource loaded with information. Jim is currently doing our "Learn
and Play with a Tour Pro Schools" in San Diego, Palm Springs, Riverside and Beaumont. Jim has more than 50 Professional

Tim Parun is a PGA Member that has helped golfers improve since 1988 and a top competitive golfer, earning the title of
San Diego Chapter PGA Player of the Year for 2003, '04 and '06.  He also has competed in the 2004, 2010 Buick Invitational
and 2006, 2010 Nissan Opens on the PGA Tour as well as the 2010, 2012 US Senior Open. Tim's teaching philosophy
emphasizes drills to improve swing mechanics and a mental approach to "relax and react" for each shot. Tim will show
you how to improve your golf game at home as well as the golf course with quality practice time. Learn to simplify the

Trevor Beard

Junior Golf Manager for Southern California Golf Schools

Trevor played his collegiate golf at the University of Illinois alongside Steve Stricker and Mike Small.  His accomplishments
include All Conference and All-District honors for 1990, 91 and 1991, 92 seasons.  He has played professionally on the South
American Tour, Nike tour, Dakota tour, Golden State, and others.  He spent 5 years with Golf Galaxy/DICKS sports where he
became a master fitter, club maker, and merchandise manager.  He holds the course record at Bodega Harbour Golf Club, north
of San Francisco (64, 1999).  Trevor has a 7 year old son, Trenton, who is a
Jr.tour member of the Valley Junior Golf Association.
Trevor’s golf instruction focuses on the fundamentals and mechanics (Balance, Alignment, & Grip) for golfers of all skill levels
to utilize in improving their games.

Terry Walker

Terry W. Walker is a PGTAA Certified Class A Master Teaching Professional who believes in the importance of “swing

your swing” and pre-swing fundamentals.  He learned the game at age eight from his father and went on to play collegiately.
Today, his playing and coaching experience spans over 20 years.  His joy for the game creates a fun, productive learning
environment both for those being introduced to the game and for those training for high-level tournament play.
